As those of you who have been following me for awhile know, I love to decorate the dollhouse for holidays! Even before the dollhouse was hardly started I was putting together decorations for all my favorite holidays. The past few weeks I have spent some time putting together some 4th of July decorations and I wanted to share them all with you! So without further ado, a tour of my holiday ready dollhouse!
Here’s the front entrance, the first thing you would see if you were a miniature person! I made the flag hanging on the front door and the welcome mat.
Looking in through the bay windows…
Coming in through the front door…
Here in the living room we have a jar of mini flags for all our holiday guests to take, a blue striped pillow on the chair to bring in some holiday color, and on the mantel a red star, a mini seashell and a “Happy Independence Day” picture.
The mini flags were made by me, the pot is a mini creamer from a doll size tea set.
The red star on the mantel is a mini cookie cutter of my daughters that I “borrowed” on a permanent basis! I made the plaque this month and love it!
On the coffee table is a vase of carnations, and a bottle and glass, all made by me.
My dollhouse has it’s first resident, this cute little dog! I don’t have a name for him yet, but I love how much life he adds to the room!
Heading into the kitchen and dining room, we have a buffet set up on the kitchen island of hot dogs, grapes, blueberries, and cupcakes. Everything except the white cupcake tray, blue blueberry bowl, and silver spoon, were made by me.
Over by the sink we have a few more drink bottles, a flag picture, a jar of cooking spoons, whisks, etc., a 4th of July picture on the wall, and a small bottle next to the sink. I’m in the process of finishing the kitchen cabinets, hence the half painted cabinet on the end!
On the opposite side of the room we have the stove, laden down with plates, cups, a basket of silverware, and a bottle of drink. Above the stove hangs another 4th of July picture. All made by me except the mini silverware and white plates.
Next to the stove we have a drink tub and some more bottles that I made, and some adorable mini ice to keep those mini drinks cold (no fridge yet!)!
At the dining room table we have a centerpiece of candles and stars decorating the table.
Above the dining room bay window is a star garland, made by me, of course. On the wall to the right is a red star decoration that I pulled off a shirt that was worn out and going in the trash.
In the music room I didn’t do much decorating, just a small plaque that says “Patriotic”. Maybe more next year?
And here are views of the whole rooms. First, the living room.
Then the kitchen/dining room.
And finally, the music room.
That’s it! Thanks so much for coming on this tour of my mini home!!!
