We spent the afternoon and evening at my parents house today. My Mom always puts together a tea in the evening for us, so nice!

Today we set up the crib for Malachi! First we took down Micah’s crib, then set up Malachi’s in the same spot. Now we have 3 little ones in both bedrooms! (Although to be honest, Malachi has only slept in here during the day. I like to have him in the basinet in our room during the night.) :-)

I’m fudging a little here. I missed day 43 so here is a picture of Elijah with his Valentine’s card from us. He LOVED this card and must have read it a dozen times at least and every time he read it he broke out in this huge grin! So very cute! He told me “I love Valentine’s Day because you get cards that make your heart happy!”

The kids spent some time making Valentines on Valentine’s Day. They had a good time coloring them and cutting them out!

Every week on Wednesday we have Awana in the evenings. Earlier in the day I always get out the kids vests and awana bags and have the kids get their books and Bibles to put in them so that everything is ready when it’s time to go. We also made valentines for the kids to hand out and put them in white sacks that the kids decorated. Here everything is ready for our evening fun!

Micah had so much fun playing with his new blocks from his birthday! He was very creative and built all these color coded towers!

We celebrated Micah’s birthday this past week! We did an evening party, serving dinner, then cake and ice cream, and finally opening presents. We limited guests to family only, so it was a small party but Micah had a wonderful time!
As usual we celebrated as a family first thing in the morning. Micah enjoyed opening his gifts from us and playing with his siblings.
Later on in the day I made the cupcakes and dinner. I tried to keep things really simple and easy so I just put truck pictures on sticks and stuck them into the cupcakes. I made my homemade chilli and a green salad and my mom brought french bread. It was all really good and we had hardly anything left!
Micah had a hard time blowing out his candles, probably because there was no one available to hold him up so he could be high enough! He did eventually get them out, with a little help from some cousins!
For each of my kids my parents buy them a trike, and this was the year for Micah to get one! He had so much fun opening the HUGE present!
